Smudging Shell - Abalone - Grade A

Abalone shells are commonly used with Native American smudging ceremonies.

Traditionally they are used to hold smudge sticks, incense, or loose herbs. They also make a wonderful bowl to hold crystals.

As this is an item from Mother Earth, no two shells are the same, and the size may vary a bit - the Grade A ones that we carry are approximately 4:-5" measured on the longest edge and are free of chips. They all contain a beautiful lustre and the unique one for you will hold it's own sacred energy.

Please use with caution. Depending on the surface on which the shell is placed, it may be wise to place a small amount of sand in the bottom of the shell to ensure heat transfer doesn't cause any damage if burning sage is placed inside.
