Pendant - Obsidian - Sterling Silver

Black obsidian has been used for centuries and has always been respected as a powerful tool. It is commonly used for scrying mirrors, and is recognized as the arrows and blades made by indigenous tribes. Obsidian is formed by volcanic lava cooling off quickly. Considering it comes from the depths of the earth, obsidian is considered to be a deeply grounding stone.

This pendant's bale is reminiscent of the Leo symbol, and is set in sterling silver. From the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant measures approximately 35mm, and the obsidian cabochon measures approximately 21mm across.
