This pendant measures approximately 13mm x 14mm and just may feature a wee little insect in it! The shape of the pendant reminds one of an apple.
Amber is a fossilized tree sap from 35-40 million years ago. Amber is abundant along the shores of the Baltic Sea. It is found in many colours, the most popular being brown, orange and yellow.
The Egyptians described amber as the "stone of life and health." The Romans believed that contact with amber gave one a youthful look. Today the healing power of amber is incorporated into mainly cultures and is prized for its beauty and healing ability.
